Our history

It all starts in 1973 when Vinicia Rascioni and Paolino Cecconello enthusiasts farmers began to dedicate himself to the company, its vineyards and its wine cellar.

In 1988, with the meeting of the young oenologist Attilio Pagli, pursuing the idea of producing quality wines with local grape varieties such as Sangiovese and the unknown ciliegiolo.

Born Poggio Cherry still jewel of the company. 11 farm is transformed into a modern and functional has become a reference point of the wine production Maremma.

The company and its winemaker is credited with having shown how a grape known as complementary ciliegiolo can be convincing if vinified alone.

Today his daughter Sabrina heir to Vinicia passion and Pauline, with her husband Paul and his son Emanuele took over management and responsibility of the company that in the meantime, with its unparalleled Poggio Cherry, has received numerous successes and recognitions

The territory

First producers of pure ciliegiolo since 1988. The production vineyards have an area of about 7 hectares with Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Vermentino .
The hilly terrain on which they are born is of medium paste with strong percentage of skeleton important factor that gives remarkable freshness to the grapes.

The breeding system Guyot with 3,800 vines per hectare and a cargo of 12 gemmee per plant. Crop work in the vineyard, including the harvesting is done manually without the aid of machinery.

The pesticide treatments and fertilization respect the biological protocol. All stages of production (care of the vineyard, winemaking, bottling) is performed by Emmanuel and Sabrina in collaboration with A. Pagli, G. Cesari and Stefano Dini.
